MSc Automotive Systems Engineering

The Department of Aeronautical and Automotive Engineering at UK’s Loughborough University is offering MSc in Automotive Systems Engineering course. The one-year full time programme, accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, has been devised for students interested in the automotive industry with knowledge and technical expertise in a wide range of automotive disciplines. The curriculum consists of three compulsory core modules on Vehicle and Powertrain Functional Performance, Vehicle Systems Analysis and Manufacturing Systems and Integrated Design. Students can additionally choose three modules from a choice of five. The full-time programme also involves a university-based project for the students to work on.  Eligible students must have a first class degree in engineering or physical sciences. In exceptional circumstances, lower academic standards may be compensated by experience in the automotive industry. Energy Engineering 

The Faculty of Engineering at the UK based University of Sheffield is inviting applications for its MSc (Eng) in Environmental and Energy Engineering course. The one-year programme aims to give students a clear and fundamental knowledge of environmental issues from an engineer’s point of view. The structure of the programme consists of five core and compulsory modules; Introduction to Fuel and Energy, Applied Energy Engineering, Environment - Gaseous Emissions, Environment - Particulate Emissions &Environment - Liquid Effluents, along with a major research project and three optional modules. The practical engineering issues surrounding environmental impact and the often neglected underlying factors governing energy conservation and maximised efficiency are all outlined throughout the programme. The programme will have intakes in September 2014. Students may apply before July 31, 2014. Candidates must hold a first degree (or equivalent) in engineering or science. National Stock Exchange of India conducts an online examination and awards certification called the NSE’s Certification in Financial Markets (NCFM). Digital library and info management

A PG Diploma in Digital Library and Information Management is being offered by Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. Rural studies

The School of Humanities and Social Sciences of NIMS University, Jaipur is offering both Bachelor’s (BRS) and Master’s (MRS) in Rural Study. While the BRS is for three-years with an intake of 30, MRS is for two-years with an intake of 10 students. Graduates of any discipline can apply for the master’s. Tribal studies

The Arunachal Institute of Tribal Studies, Rajiv Gandhi University, Arunachal Pradesh, offers MPhil and PhD in Tribal Studies. The MPhil is a one-year full-time programme with an intake limited to 13. The Department of Folklore and Tribal Studies, Dravidian University, Chittoor, AP, offers an MA in Folklore, Tribal lore and Cultural Tourism. Though the core of the course lies in tribal studies, folklore and culture studies have been added to learn about the life of Dravidian language tribes.
