Bhushan Steel enters into agreement with Japanese firm

"The company has signed two agreements with Sumitomo Metal Industries for technical know-how and for marketing tie- up for selling produce of Orissa plant," Bhushan Steel MD Neeraj Singhal said in New Delhi.

Singhal added that the company will be commissioning a 2.2 mtpa Orissa plant next month with an aim to take the annual production capacity to 5 million tonnes by October 2012.

The Delhi-based steel maker said the companies are also exploring joint venture opportunities for the proposed steel plant in West Bengal. PTI SCV SUM 12161323
