Ultras reveal their involvement in Kerala cases

 
During their interrogation, T Nazeer and Saffaz, admitted that they were involved in the Aasad murder case, Vinod murder case, Kalamacherry bus burning case, Calicut twin blast case, the case related to attempt to murder former Kerala Chief Minister E K Ninayar; Coimbatore press club bomb blast case and Eranakulam Pokada Rahim attempt murder case, Bidari added.

Nazeer had joined Abdul Nazar Madani’s organisation called ISS when he was 16 years. He is also a PDP member. He worked in the Gulf for some time in 2005 and came back to Kannur and he started Tharikath classes at Nirchal, Kannur. He also started Thail Islamic Cultural Centre at Kannur.

In 2005, he came in contact with Surfraz Nawaz of Ernakulam through one P B Sabeer who was a secretary of the SIMI office at Delhi in 2000. Nazeer and Sarfraz Nawaz discussed religion and Jihad. Meanwhile, Nazeer started ginger cultivation during 2005 at Madapura and Hosathota in Coorg District. Sarfraz Nawaz and Nazeer visited the place and decided to start Jihadi training for youths from Kerala and others as the place was found to be ideal.

Nazeer, while running Tharikath classes at Kannur, came in contact with leaders of the proscribed outfit of SIMI and Indian Mujahideen during 2007 and 2008. They held series of conspiracy meetings in Kerala at different places. Nazeer also held conspiracy meeting with Surfraz Nawaz and sought for monetary help for carrying out the serial blasts in Bangalore City.

During March 2008 Nazeer and Sarfaraz along with one more accused Shafiq conducted a recce of Bangalore City. Nazeer along with Mujeeb, Aleem, Bomb Ismail, Raisal and Abdul Raheem committed theft of explosives like ammonium nitrate, gelatin sticks and electronic detonators from one explosive shop at Perumbavoor in Ernakulam District in  Kerala.

The accused collected other accessories like jelly, iron bolt, nuts, cement, news paper and others from Bangalore City and got it prepared bombs in Muzeebs house and planted the bombs at various places in Bangalore City.

Bangalore City Serial blasts were carried out with the financial assistance and guidance  by LeT men Nazeer and Shaffaz were assisted financially by LeT during their stay in Bangladesh.

Bangalore City witnessed serial bomb blasts on July 25, 2008.  As many as 8 blasts took place between 1.30 pm to 2 pm starting from Madivala check post to Kengeri on Mysore Road. An unexplored IED was found the next day near Forum Mall in Koramangla, which was diffused.
