Admissions kick off in Delhi after FYUP row

Class XII toppers make a beeline for Shri Ram College of Commerce as admissions kicked off in Delhi University on Tuesday after the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme row.

The college has posted 97.25-98.25 per cent cutoff for Economics (Hons) and 97.5-99.25 per cent cutoff for BCom (Hons) for general category students.

Sarthak Agarwal, who topped the CBSE Class XII Boards recently, securing 99.6 per cent, enrolled himself for Economics (Hons). While Commerce stream CBSE topper with 99.2 per cent marks, G Harishankaran secured his admission in BCom (Hons).

Shri Ram College of Commerce admitted 268 students against 501 seats in BCom (Hons) on day one. For Economics (Hons), the college received 102 enrolments against 123 seats.

“Let us wait for two more days,” Shri Ram College of Commerce principal P C Jain said, when asked if the college is likely to come up with a second cutoff. Based on the first cutoff list, students can take admission until July 3.
