After a series of meetings, the Indian Institutes of Managements (IIMs) have decided that candidates who faced technical problems during the CAT will be allotted another slot to appear for the test, and this has been scheduled for mid-January 2010.

Prometric Services, the US-based firm hired for conducting CAT 2009, said in a release that the process was on to identify candidates who have been interrupted or were unable to take the test. According to Soumitra Roy, Managing Director, India, Prometric, such candidates will be contacted by Prometric to inform about the rescheduling of examination. The standards of the computer-based test are also being reviewed.

More than 2.15 lakh candidates successfully completed the 2009 CAT test. Over the course of 11 days, tests were administered on 17,000 computers in 361 temporary testing labs at 104 centers in 32 cities.
