UVCE plans to upgrade infrastructure

Research activities and infrastructure at the State-run University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE), Bangalore, will soon get a boost.

Speaking at a press conference, Principal of UVCE, K R Venugopal said: “We have sent a 334-page report regarding upgrading the building and research activities to the State government. The project cost is estimated to be around Rs 300 crore. The State government has proposed the same to the Central government and is waiting for its response. We are planning to add three new blocks such as Mechanical Block, Hostel Block and Visvesvaraya Centenary Block. The project will be implemented under Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) funds.”

International conferences on Communication Networks, Image and Signal Processing, Data Mining and Warehousing will be organised between July 25 and July 27, Prof Venugopal said.
