Reddi calls on Hennur seminary inmates

City Police Commissioner M N Reddi, on Friday, visited the seminary in Hennur, where a 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped recently.

The commissioner, it is learnt, spoke to the inmates and directed the investigation officers to crack the case at the earliest.

“A special investigation team has been dispatched to the native of place of the victim. The police are gathering clues to nab the culprits.

 There is not much clarity about the version given by the victim. The police are making their efforts to get a clear picture from the victim which will help in nabbing the culprits,” a police official said.

The victim, who hails from West Godavari District, in Andhra Pradesh, had come down to City to pursue her studies in becoming a nun.

She was staying along with a nun and couple of other students in a seminary in Baireshwari Nagar in Hennur.

On July 16, two strangers knocked on the door and when she opened the door they sprayed a sedative on her face, after which she fell unconscious.

Later she was found lying naked by the nun and other inmate.

They took her to a doctor, who confirmed that she raped and police complaint was lodged on July 17.
