KSCA XI bowl out Odisha for modest 214 on opening day

 A centutry from Suneel Raju (108, 218b, 12x4, 2x6) helped KSCA President’s XI to 318/6 against Goa Cricket Association on the first day of their match in the KSCA all-India Invitational Dr K Thimmappaiah memorial cricket tournament at Alur (2) on Saturday

The off-spinning all-rounder was helped by good contributions from KB Pawan (77) and Pawan Deshpande (37) and Nidesh M (44).

Goa, who succumbed to a big defeat in their opening match of the tournament against Cricket Association of Bengal, need a big opening session on Sunday to give themselves a chance of staying in the contest.

Prashanth impresses

At the M Chinnaswamy stadium, Andhra CA, riding on the back of a patient century from DB Prashanth (106, 214b, 15x4, 1x6), put themselves in a strong position at 252/3 at stumps on the opening day against KSCA Colts.

Batting first, Praneeth (95, 166b, 12x4, 2x6) and Prashanth (106) were solid as they frustrated the KSCA bowlers for most of the day.
