Hogging limelight for her ‘sexy siren’ image in Yaariyan, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Main Tera Hero, Evelyn Sharma is ready to present herself as a singer.

She is making her international singing debut with ‘Something Beautiful’. “This is the first single of the album,” an excited Sharma tell Metrolife, during a recent visit to the City.

Sharing her experiences she says, “Indo-American rapper Brooklyn Shanti offered me this opportunity.”  Sharma has earlier worked with Brooklyn in Sydney with Love film. “He asked me to sing but I wasn’t sure I will be able to do justice to it. Therefore, he asked me write something. Since I have been writing poems from an early age, writing down the song was not difficult,” she says.

“But what came as a surprise was that Brooklyn was sure he wanted me to sing the song. It was a wonderful experience to give music and voice to your own words,” says Sharma, who calls the song a reflection of her life.

“The song is related to my life. It highlights that time of my life when I was going through a bad phase and struggling emotionally,” she says. “But it is not depressing,” she instantly clarifies. “It is a chilled-out song. Just lie down on the bed and listen to it. You will enjoy it,” she boasts.

For this Germany-based model, singing may be exciting as of now but her focus is on establishing herself as an actress.

“Movies and acting are my priority. I am happy with what I have so far in the industry. I have just finished two of my films. One is Dannk, a thriller where audience will see me in a different avatar and in the second one which is yet to be named, I am playing the role of a small town girl. Both the roles are meaty which will present a totally different me,” say the aspiring actor, who will also be working with Sunny Deol and Arshad Warsi in Bhaiyyaji Superhitt.

Apparently, it is an attempt to change her image.  “I have done six films till now and all my roles have been different. In my last three films, the audience have seen my glamorous side. So, I have been given such an image but I don’t have any problem. I am happy with my image,” she says.

However, “I want to do different roles so that people watch my different shades,” she says.

According to her success can be achieved with the help of directors. “I am like a blank piece of paper. If there is a good director he will make me act the way he wants to. But I have just began my journey in the industry, there is lot to explore,” she says  and signs off.
