BFI to conduct courses for coaches

Under the guidance of FIBA World, the Basketball Federation of India (BFI) and its state associations will be conducting five FIBA Coaching Certification Courses throughout August and September.

This marks the second time the BFI has organised such courses, having hosted two in December 2013 and two more in March 2014.

FIBA instructor Nelson Isley, who took the four previous coaching clinics, will once again be travelling to India to train the young and aspiring coaches. Isley has over seven years of professional playing experience across the world and over 38 years of coaching experience, including his recent stop as head coach cum technical director of the Mozambique women’s national team in 2006.

Itinerary: Delhi/NCR (Level 2): August 16-20; Hyderabad (Level 1): August 21-25; Assam (Level 1):  August 27-September 1; Ahmedabad (Level 1): September 3-7; Ludhiana (Level 1): September 9-13
