Indians bought land worth 241 million pounds in Central London during the second quarter of this year, eyeing greater returns as the UK economy recovers, property consultant CBRE said on Wednesday.

“Indian investment accounted for £241 million, translating to 55 per cent of overseas investment in Q2 2014, in contrast to Q2 2013 when no land was purchased by Indian investors in this market,” CBRE South Asia CMD Anshuman Magazine said.

Indiabulls group purchased 22 Hanover Square, representing about 155 million pounds, the largest transaction in the second quarter, CBRE said.
