SC/ST colonies to be developed in 2 years: Datta

MLA Y S V Datta has said that SC/ST colonies in the constituency will be developed in the next two years. 

Speaking to mediapersons on Saturday, he said that he had made a honest effort to get funds for the development of the constituency. Rs six crore has been released for the development of SC/ST colonies. Each colony will be given Rs 10 lakh to Rs 30 lakh to take up the work on concreting the road, construction of box drainage, community hall and basic facilities.

He said  to solve row over power supply to Emmedoddi, the government has sanctioned a sub station at an estimated cost of Rs 13 crore. The tender has been invited for the work. A sub station will come up at Antharaghatta.

The MLA said that under Namma Grama Namma  Rasthe scheme, 20-km road has been sanctioned to the constituency. The work on Kaadugondanahalli-Tangali road, P Kodihalli-Pura, Garje-Heregarje, Bisilere-Jakkanahalli, Siddapura-Antaraghatta, Sanehalli-Kadur Maravanji road, Udugore Tandya-Yagati road works will be taken up shortly.

Datta said that Rs 40 lakh has been released for the development of Devanga community. Emphasis will be paid for the development of ‘Gollarahatti.’ Rs 25 lakh each has been released for the development of K Bidare, Ballekere, Chikkaballekere and, Kalkere Gollarahatti.

Baagina offered

Earlier speaking after offering baagina to Madagada kere, the MLA said that Tourism Minister R V Deshpande has responded positively to the development of historic Madagada Kere. The development of the water body will help in the promotion of tourism.
 
The estimated cost of proposal of supplying water from Hebbe waterfalls to Madagada kere has increased from Rs 80 crore to Rs 294 crore.  There are few technical glitches in implementing the project.  The row over Bagarhukum land in Emmedoddi will be solved shortly. Title deeds will be distributed to all 139 farmers.
