Bank accused of criminal intimidation

Deepa Kohli (25) of Manjunath Nagar, Magadi Road, has said that she had availed loan of Rs 3,02,583 from Kotak Mahindra Bank's retail banking branch, M G Road on June 23, 2008.  She paid an installment of Rs 10,713 every month till August last. Later, when she defaulted on loan repayment due to her husband's illness, the bank's senior manager, along with assistant manager Yogesh and officers Prajwal, Anand and Naveen, allegedly "hired goondas who kept harassing and intimidating her". Following this, she filed a complaint before the third Additional Judicial Magistrate who referred the case to the Magadi Road police. "We have received the case from the court and are investigating the matter," Inspector Nagaraj told Deccan Herald.
