Bar girls' abduction: Mastermind still critical

He was hospitalised with bullet injuries as the police shot at him on early Sunday morning.
Police said he is undergoing treatment, but his condition continues to be critical.

There are many cases against him, including those for abduction, rape, murder, attempt to murder, robbery and dacoity. The pending cases will be discussed at the review meeting to be convened by the Police Commissioner Shankar M Bidari on Tuesday, said police sources.
“So far, there are seven cases against Wasim including murders, dacoity, robbery and other in Bangalore City. It is not yet known whether he is involved in several rape cases. Things will be clear during the course of interrogation,” said DCP (South East) B NS Reddy.

A six-member gang had abducted the bar girls from Koramangala on late Saturday night in a four-wheeler.

Once the news reached them, the police swung into action and intercepted the abductors on Bagalur Main Road.

The police opened fire when the gang members tried to attack them. Wasim and Syed Pasha were injured in the operation.  The police also succeeded in rescuing the girls.
