“We have decided to request the State government to put up pictures of Dr B R Ambedkar, M Visvesvaraya and Nadaprabhu Kempegowda at government/semi government offices,” Basavaraju said.

The committee members maintained that a statue dedicated to the daughter-in-law of Kempegowda will be installed in front of BBMP head office at a cost of Rs five lakh.

Basavaraju added that to improve the streetlight facility at Mandur, a tender worth Rs 11.72 lakh has been floated.
