Four suspected Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militants and two soldiers were killed on Sunday in two separate operations close to the Line of Control in the Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Security forces laid the ambush on Saturday night in Kalaroos area of Kupwara following information about movement of militants in the area, an Army official said.
He said the militants were asked to surrender on Sunday morning. “However, the ultras opened fire at the forces,” the official said.
