The exhibition is the individual collection of Numis-Phila Director K V Shanbhag. Numismatist and Philatelist from Mangalore Dr Mukunda Prabhu inaugurated the coin division. Assistant Superintendent of Udupi Postal Division Naghabhushan N inaugurated the stamp division.
The collections comprised coins of Kushans, Cholas, Satavahanas, Bahmanis of Deccan, Delhi Sultanate, Gujarat Sultanate, Gwalior, Vijayanagara Empire, Marathas , Malwa Sultanate. Shells which were used as an alternative to currency in Solomon islands, South America, Fiji islands and West Cost of Africa were also on display.
