KSRTC to run extra buses for Onam

In view of the Tiru Onam festival, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) will operate extra buses to Kerala from September 3 to 9.

Special buses from the Satellite Bus Station (Mysore Road) and Shanthinagar Bus Station in the City will be operated to places like Kannur, Kozhikode, Ernakulam, Palghat, Thrissur, Kottayam and Thiruvananthapuram.


A KSRTC press release stated that a discount of five per cent on the fare would be provided if four or more passengers book seats in a single ticket and a discount of 10 per cent is offered if the return journey ticket is booked simultaneously.


Passengers can book computerised reservation tickets in advance for the special buses. Besides, tickets can also be booked online at www.ksrtc.in.


Advance tickets for the special and scheduled buses can also be booked through 173 computerised reservation counters in Bangalore, 14 in Mysore and 54 in Mangalore and 230 counters in other parts of the State.


Details like timings of departure and the place have been provided in the KSRTC’s computerised advance reservation network and its website, the release stated.
