Rahul holds court on Sonia's turf

Members of Kalyani Mahila Vikas Group in Virkapurwa Majre Kalyanpur village in Rae Bareli gathered at the residence of one Rais Ahmed where the leader of the group read out a progress report before Rahul.

The Congress leader reviewed the progress of the works being undertaken by the Group formed by the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, which has won laurels for its innovative projects.
On Wednesday Rahul made surprise visits to some villages in the Jagdishpur area of Amethi Parliamentary constituency. Earlier in the morning Rahul also held a meeting of the local Congress leaders and listened to their views on strengthening the party at the grassroots level.
