Three bullied juveniles murder 20-year-old

Three juveniles on Sunday night allegedly stabbed a 20-year-old youth to death with whom they were involved in frequent quarrels.

The victim allegedly often bullied the boys into fetching cigarettes and tea for him from the local market and this was not liked by them.

The three boys, all aged either 13 or 14, were apprehended at different parts of south Delhi’s Jaitpur on Monday.

They have been sent to a children’s home after being produced in a juvenile court.
Victim Shivam worked at a mobile phone recharge coupon shop run by his father in Madanpur Khadar of Jaitpur.

Police said though the boys objected to being ordered around, Shivam continued to make them run errands despite them not being employed at his shop.

They played near the shop, police said. “They fought frequently and the boys have claimed that Shivam even beat them up several times. The boys had decided to seek revenge and planned to kill him,” a police officer told this newspaper.

Around 10.30 pm, they knocked on the door of Shivam’s house and called him out on the pretext of having a talk. Shivam left with them and they allegedly lured him to an isolated spot.

The three then stabbed Shivam repeatedly before leaving him bleeding.

A bystander later found Shivam lying injured and made a call to police control room. He was rushed to a private hospital where he was declared dead.

Police contacted his parents and they revealed that he was called out of the home by the three boys.
Since the boys were known to the family, they were immediately identified and a search launched to nab them.

A murder case was lodged and the boys were apprehended on Monday.
All three studied at a government school in the area.
