Ten people were injured in a scuffle at a pub at west Delhi’s Rajouri Garden late on Sunday night.
The fight was reported around 11.30 pm between some employees of the pub and a group of youths who had gathered at the West Gate Mall to celebrate a birthday.

The two groups have filed complaints against each other and police said investigations have been taken up. No arrest from either group was made though.

The CCTV footage of the pub has been seized for investigations.

Alleged molestation

The youngsters alleged that some of their female friends were molested by the hotel staff. A molestation case was subsequently lodged.

Similar allegations

The nightclub management, meanwhile, made similar allegations of misbehaviour with a female staffer.
The club claimed that another staff member was assaulted when they refused to serve alcohol as the group had brought in more people than the  number booked.

Police have been told that bookings, made by one Deepak, had been made only for 25 guests but 35 people, including four women, had turned up for the party.

The guests were also allegedly miffed with the final bill which they felt was exorbitant.
“The pub authorities have alleged that the guests were heavily drunk. They asked for new round of drinks around 11.30 pm but were refused upon which the guests allegedly started misbehaving with the female waiter,” said a police officer.

The pub manager intervened and the matter was resolved for the time being. But when the guests were handed over a bill of Rs 29,000, they alleged they were being overcharged and refused to pay it.

When the pub authorities insisted that the bill be paid, they allegedly began thrashing one of the waiters and smashed his head with a table and this victim required eight stitches, said police.

Bouncers were immediately called in. A violent scuffle ensued in which 10 people were injured.
Police were informed around midnight and a team arrived to shift the injured to a hospital from where all were discharged after treatment.
