The 30-page document, brought out by Bykere Nagesh, additional special representative of the Karnataka government in Delhi, has details of the flagship programmes and other schemes such as background information, funding pattern, the total allocation and the Karnataka allocation of a particular scheme, etc.

The chief minister said the booklet was a useful guide which gives information about a host of schemes and would help the pace of development in the State if everyone makes use of it.

Noting that for the first time a document of this kind has been brought out in a regional language—in Kannada— besides English, he said copies of the book would be sent to all MLAs and MLCs.

Presiding over the function, Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Rahman Khan said the MPs of the State have held meetings amongst themselves twice over the last fortnight and decided to meet Central ministers to discuss the pending projects of each ministry. The MPs would also meet the prime minister.

Mysore MP H Vishwanath said this is the information age. Information is power.
The document sought to spread information about the developmental programmes of the Union government and everyone should make use of the booklet.

Ministers including R Ashok, Katta Subrahmanya Naidu, Ramachandra Gowda, and MPs participated in the function.
