RSS had no role in Gandhi's assassination, says Ravi

BJP leader C T Ravi on Saturday said the RSS had no role in the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi and criticised the Congress for indulging in a propaganda to tarnish the image of the Sangh.

The Jeevan Lal Kapur Commission report, 1969, has established that the RSS had no role in the assassination of Gandhi. The Supreme Court, too, has stated this in 1949. But the Congress has been spreading lies like Joseph Goebbels (chief of Nari propaganda), he charged in a media release.

Referring to some Congress leaders taking exception to the presence of an RSS follower at a function organised for unveiling Mahatma Gandhi statue at the Vidhana Soudha, Ravi said the Congress should have made efforts to spread the messages of Gandhi, instead of criticising the RSS and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Modi gave a call to clean up the country on October 2 as a tribute to Gandhi. Instead of joining hands in this noble mission, the Congress leaders are indulging in petty politics, he criticised.
