The actor hosted the third season of the reality show 'Bigg Boss', saw Vindoo Dara Singh as the winner last night. It was Bachchan's second outing on the small screen after 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' in 2000.

When asked whether he will return as the 'pop philosopher' for 'Bigg Boss 4', the actor was non-committal.

"It is for the channel and not me to decide whether they want me again or not," Bachchan said on the sidelines of grand finale of the reality show held at Lonavala last night.

"Now that it is over, from tomorrow I would hunt for some new job," the mega star quipped.

When asked about his on and off presence on small screen, Bachchan said he does not know what lies ahead.

"For some personal reason, I was not accepting much of film work, when this show was offered to me. As of now, I have completed the show. I do not know what lies ahead," he said.

Bachchan said he used to looked forward to his interaction with the housemates but took things objectively.

"I look at things objectively. When I was offered the show, my only endeavour was to see what new we can do. Hence I assumed the role of a pop philosopher. But I used to look forward to interaction with the evicted inmates and participants," the actor said.
Bachchan also said that if need be and asked for he would like to help the participants even after the show.

"I tried for a patch up between Sherlyn Chopra and her mother. Similarly, we also invited Rohit Verma's father. If they personally ask for my help I would not hesitate to improve their relations," he said, adding that all in the family should be together.
However, there are some limits. One cannot interfere much into any one's personal matters, the actor added.

When asked if he has given some tips his son Abhishek who too is all set for his TV debut, he said in a lighter vein, "woh to aaram se bhaite hay ( It seems he does not have any problem)"

"It seems he does not have any problem and therefore does not require any tips," the actor said.
