Raghaveshwara Bharati case: NCW team meets victim

An investigation team from the National Commission for Women (NCW) on Saturday met the victim in the sexual harassment case registered against Raghaveshwara Bharati Swami of Ramachandrapur Mutt.

The team collected details from the victim and her family  at her house in Banashankari. However, the probe team refused to divulge the details. The members of the team later went to the Kumara Krupa guesthouse.

In the evening, the team held a meeting with State DG&IGP Lalrokhuma Pachau, City Police Commissioner M N Reddi, IGP (CID) Pranab Mohanty and other officials of the CID. The CID officials reportedly briefed the team about the progress in the probe.

“The team gathered information about the case from the CID officials. The NCW team asked the police to probe all angles and look into all the allegations made by the victim,” an official said.

The NCW had taken cognisance of the case based on newspaper reports.
