JOIN USThe house of one Ramlal at Weavers’ Colony 2nd cross was robbed. Ramlal, who hails from Rajasthan, owns a jewellery store on the 7th cross in the same area.
The incident occurred minutes after Ramlal left from his house to go the store at around 7 pm on Saturday. Two people, aged between 22 to 25 and with a black cloth covering their faces, knocked on the front door. When Ramlal’s wife Leela opened the door, they threatened her at knifepoint, entered the house forcibly and snatched the almirah keys from her. They locked her and her two sons inside a room and fled with one kg gold, one and half kg silver and Rs 50,000 in cash.
Police suspect the involvement of someone known to Ramlal in this incident. A special team has been constituted to nab the accused.
