JOIN USA 25-year-old astrologer who had gone missing, was found hanging from the ceiling at his astrology centre in DJ Halli on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Deepak Singh, a resident of Kavalbyrasandra, said the police. The police said that Singh’s wife had lodged a missing complaint on Wednesday.
According to the police, she said that her husband went to his astrology centre, saying that he would return by night, but did not return for two days.
Police found his office locked and on breaking open the lock, they found him hanging from the ceiling. The body was shifted for post-mortem. No death note was found, the police added.
Youth murdered
A 24-year-old youth, who went out with his friends, was found murdered in Anekal in the early hours of Saturday. Police have identified the deceased as Madan Kumar, a resident of Anekal.
Kumar’s parents told the police that their son went out with his friends on Friday night, but did not return home. He was found dead in the morning. The body bore several stab injuries. Liquor bottles and packed food were found near the body, indicating that there was a booze party, police said. It is suspected that the Kumar might have been killed due to a rivalry. A senior police officer said that they were suspecting the Kumar’s friends for the murder. “All of them are absconding and we have launched a manhunt to trace them,” the officer said.
