The third edition of ‘Bacardi NH7 Weekender’ was held in Bengaluru over the weekend and featured a number of artistes from all over the world.

The festival also had art installations, food stalls and the unbeatable vibe, that has earned it the tag of ‘India’s happiest festival’.

Over the years, ‘NH7 Weekender’ has had some of the exceptional live performances and proved to be an ideal platform for many global and homegrown artistes to showcase their work. This year was no different.

Priyanka, a professional, is a regular at music festivals and enjoyed attending the event. “Watching a live performance makes such concerts more fun and exciting. The event also celebrated different genres of music. It’s nice to the see the varied tastes of the music-lovers of the City.”

The two-day festival had around 100 bands and left the music-lovers asking for more. It saw some great international, national and local artistes taking the stage. Adi and Suhail from Delhi and ‘As Animals’, a France-based band, performed their best numbers on the first day.

DJ Sa and DJ Skip played some great hip-hop and trap music too. ‘Madboy/Mink’, a Mumbai-based band, also performed electro and funk music with some old-school Harlem swing. ‘Cloud Control’, an Australian band, had the crowd dancing to some of its popular numbers.

Some of the Bengaluru-based bands that performed at the festival were ‘Thermal And A Quarter’, ‘Peeple Tree’ and ‘Blent’. ‘Peeple Tree’ performed both Hindi and Kannada songs while ‘Soulmate’, a popular Shillong band, sang some well-known numbers like ‘Set Me Free,’ ‘Cup of Tea,’ and ‘Moving On’.

Anjana, a student, said, “‘NH7 Weekender’ is the best music festival of all. It has never disappointed the music-lovers. It was fun catching up with friends over music.” “The music festival introduced us to new bands. For instance, ‘Ankur and The Ghala Family’ was a band whose music I had never heard before. It was fun and fascinating,” said Neil, a music-lover.
