Enthralling performances and celebrity presence marked the celebration of KCC Institute of Technology and Management’s annual fest. Musical shows, skits as well as Bollywood performances by dance groups were part of the fest recently celebrated at the Siri Fort Auditorium.

But the highlight of the event was the presence of Bollywood star Huma Qureshi and Varun Sharma aka Chucha of Fukrey fame who graced the occasion and conferred the awards to the meritorious students.

The gala evening commenced with the dance performance of engineering and management students which left the audience awestruck. A solo dance performance by Siddharth mesmerised the huge gathering. Huma Qureshi and Varun Sharma interacted with the students and shared memories of their college days. To make the atmosphere lively the stars performed on songs like Hamari Atariya, Fukrey, and
Ambarsariya.

“I am very excited to be a part of this annual fest. As a student, I was very active in cultural activities in college. It is always a delight to see young students perform and explore their latent talents; you never know one of them might end up making a name in Bollywood,” said Qureshi.

Urban Dance Group performed a medley on Honey Singh songs. Aditya Bhutani, a BTech student from the institute displayed his talent by singing his heart out on Mera Mann. A skit on drug abuse titled Halla Bol was performed by the students of KCC. They showed how teenagers get addicted to drugs and poignantly highlighted the repercussions of drug addiction.

The evening ended on a high note with an electrifying performance by the lead singer of Jazba Band, Ashish Chabbra, that left the students asking for more. He started his performance by singing Alif Allah and later sang Har kisi ko nahin milta, main tenu samjhavan ki and mujhe sharabi bana diya. After this he revived the old Bollywood music by singing Intehaan ho gayi intezaar ki, humma humma and many more.
Shray Bhargav, second year management student said, “Just  one word about my college and that is ‘amazing’. And the annual fest is much more interesting. I am a shy student but this time even I had performed on stage and the feeling was amazing. Our faculty motivates every student to showcase their hidden talent.”
