Pillion rider killed in road accident

 A 19-year-old pillion rider died on the spot after the bike, in which he was travelling, lost control when its handle brushed against a mini goods vehicle in Garvebhavipalya under Madiwala traffic police limits on Wednesday. 

The rider escaped with injuries and is said to be out of danger. According to police, the deceased has been identified as Raju and the injured as Nawaz, 29. 

Both, residents of BTM Layout, were working as housekeeping staff in a private company.
 Around 8.30 pm, they were returning back home from work. As they were speeding, their bike handle hit a mini goods vehicle, which was parked on the left side of the road due to a flat tyre. 

Died on the spot

Nawaz lost control over the bike and hit the road. Raju died on the spot suffering severe head injuries. Passersby rushed the duo to a hospital where doctors declared Raghu as brought dead, while Nawaz is under going treatment, police said.
