 FRIENDS

Friends are heart menders
Welding patches
Armed with a smile and a pair of ears
Others are traitors

Heartless liars
Breaking not mending
Armed with a rumour and a frown
Taking menders

And tearing out the nice warm smile
Sticking on a frown
Lodging the rumour into their brain
Then taking that rumour, like a virus,

And spreading it,
Smearing it,
All over the school
But some can resist the virus

With no medicine
That — is a true friend
