KPCC chief's election  in June, says Parameshwara

KPCC president G Parameshwara has said that the elections of the PCC president and other office-bearers of the Congress party will be held on June 15, 2015.

In a press meet held here on Saturday, the KPCC president said, “The party high command has decided the dates and the elections will be held as per the schedule. The ongoing membership drive will be held till December end. The elections for booth, block, district and State unit will be held only after the membership drive ends. 

Replying to a query whether he would contest for the second term, Parameshwara played it safe saying that he is still undecided and that the party high command will select the PCC president.

The KPCC president said the provision to get primary membership of the party directly has been scrapped. Instead those who want to join the party fold or renew their membership, have to do it in their respective booths. 

Parameshwara further added that he renewed his membership at Kymanahalli booth in Koratagere.

AICC President Sonia Gandhi and vivisit ce president Rahul Gandhi will visit to State in December to take part in membership drive.

 On appointing heads to boards and corporations, the KPCC president said, “Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and I will be leaving for Delhi on Nov 20 to hold talks with the high command on finisling the list.”
