Linganamakki reservoir recorded an inflow of 8,289 cusecs on Thursday which was 1,200 feet two days ago. 6,438 cusec water is being discharged from the reservoir. There was no significant change in power generation at Sharavati valley project as generation stood at 15.59 million unit on Thursday against the optimum capacity to generate 20 million unit.
Water level in Bhadra reservoir is reaching brim owing to heavy rain. 2,000 cusec water is being released from the reservoir by lifting all four crest gates to three inches. Gates of Bhadra reservoir are lifted in the month of December for the first time. Water is discharged by opening the gates for the second time this year.
