'Love can't be measured'

Raveena Tandon is busy juggling films and her chat show, ‘Simply Baatein’, where she interacts with ordinary women and celebrities.

The show is special for Raveena because it has given her the chance to be close to her fans. “I get to be myself on the show and connect with people. They get to know the person that I am, more than the actor,” she states.

The actresss likes to have open conversations with people. “It’s different when people see you as an actor and when they come face to face,” she adds.

The show, says Raveena, has got a lot of people to open up and share their pain. “The show features some real people who have traumatic tales to tell. The format has a different approach altogether.

We stay off controversies and try to focus on the what makes them different and what circumstances have helped them get this far,” shares Raveena.

She observes that most of the celebrities who come on her show have been her friends for years. “It’s an advantage when you know the interviewee. The comfort level is something different and they open up a lot more,” she adds.

On the film front, Raveena had to refuse a lot projects as she prefers to do meaningful roles, strong in characterisation and content. She has always managed to strike a balance between work and family.

“I work on only one project at a time. There are a couple of projects that I had to let go but I have no regrets about it. My children are my priority,” Raveena reasons.

She has agreed to work on Onir’s ‘Shab’ which traces the concept of love among different age groups. According to Raveena, love is an energy that is boundless. “Love can’t be measured.

If you truly love somebody then you can love that person wherever you are. Love doesn’t necessarily have to be between a man and woman, it goes beyond that,” she shares.

Raveena has a lot of people telling her that she looks more beautiful now than ever before. A mother of two, Raveena attributes her good looks and figure to the right work out regimen and healthy food habits.

“I think the more weight I lose, the better I feel,” she sums up.
