JOIN USKolkata-based exporter and manufacturer of leather bags, briefcases and small leather goods ASG Leather on Thursday forayed into the retail business by setting up its first Kompanero outlet in Bengaluru. The company owned and company operated (COCO) model outlet is situated at Phoenix Mall, Whitefield.
After tasting success in the European market and the UK and with an approximate investment of Rs 1 crore the company has brought in Kompanero brand to Indian consumers. Kompanero products come in the Rs 1,500-Rs 10,000 price range, and are targeted at college students and professionals.
According to ASG Leather Managing Director and Creative Head Aloke Sengupta, “In an effort to reduce the huge environmental squander with traditional dyeing process, ASG introduced latest innovation piece-dyeing concept.” The company which had a turnover of Rs 16 crore aims to reach Rs 22 crore for next fiscal year.
