It seems Deepak of Shyshya fame has finally left his hard days behind. His long awaited movie 18th Cross which was stalled after the demise of the producer is all set for release this week.

Deepak was also awaiting the release of his other film  Deena the same week but it has been put on hold to make way for the release of 18th Cross.

“I had pinned my hopes on the release of 18th Cross and was very upset when the release was doubtful. Now that it’s being released I requested the producer of Deena to postpone its release. Thankfully he agreed so now I am expecting two big hits,” says Deepak.

18th Cross is a love story directed by Shankar. The story is woven around a real incident that happened some years ago in the City.

The film is also special because it is the debut film of actress Radhika Pandit who won fame through Moggina Manasu.

“She started her film career with this movie and turned to be a well-known actress before this movie was released. Naturally audience will be curious to see her performance in
this movie,” he says.

Deepak, who has played ‘rowdy’ characters in all his three movies — Shyshya, 18th Cross, and Deena — is playing a tough cop in his upcoming film Charlie.

“In all my prior films the police were after me but in Charlie I will be chasing criminals for a change. It seems that this New Year has some good things to
offer,” he laughs.
