 Road encroached upon

Shopkeepers have encroached upon the road at Yediyur Circle affecting movement of pedestrians and vehicles. A few shops were constructed for street vendors some years ago here. However, the shopkeepers now keep their wares on main road right at the Circle.

There is a government school at the Circle and the students are finding it very difficult to cross the road here. Several requests made to the elected representatives and government authorities have gone in vain.

Service road in bad state

The service road parallel to West of Chord Road near Malabar Jewellers, Rajajinagar 1st Block is in a pathetic condition. The road, dug for maintenance work, has not been restored for the past two months. The road has at least 20 houses and apartments. The road turns into a slushy field whenever it rains, compounding the problem. To make matters worse, the construction material for a flyover has been dumped here.
Will the authorities concerned provide some relief to commuters in this locality?

Pedestrians at risk

She traffic signal at Udupi Garden, opposite BTM traffic police station, is manned by a traffic constable. As a result, pedestrians are not getting any time to cross the road. There is no footpath here and hence pedestrians are put at the mercy of motorists.
Hope the authorities will do the needful in the interest of pedestrians.

Stray dog menace

Residents of Ankappa Layout and Akash Nagar (Near Sai Baba Temple) are affected by stray dog menace. There are more than 15 to 20 dogs in these areas which need to be sterilised. Complaints lodged with the BBMP office have not elicited any response. The officials concerned are requested to take necessary action.

Ply more buses to Kengeri

Kengeri satellite town has very poor public transportation facility and road connectivity. At present, two BMTC bus services, 222-G and 222-E, are plying from Kengeri to Jayanagar and Shivajinagar. But, the frequency is very poor and the service is irregular.
The BMTC authorities are requested to increase the frequency of the bus service.

Regulate traffic at this busy junction

There is always traffic chaos near the Sorat Ashwath Park Circle where five roads meet at Channammanakere Achchukattu. The junction neither has a traffic policeman nor signals. The traffic is very dense during peak hours and pedestrians have to manage themselves with skill and luck. Accidents have become common at this junction. Roadside vendors and cars parked on roads have been affecting the movement of vehicles and pedestrians. Traffic is very heavy on 7th Cross, in front of Sai Madhura Grace-1 apartment, where cars are parked on both sides, making traffic flow very difficult. Adding to the misery, the road is dug on both sides to make culverts. Also, BMTC buses ply on this narrow road.  Hope the authorities concerned will initiate measures to regulate traffic.

 Road in horrible condition

The roads in Sajjepalya (ward number 73) are in a horrible condition for the past six years. They were once metallic roads. The roads have been damaged since 2008 following construction of new houses and digging of the roads for repairing sanitary pipelines. Though potholes were filled temporarily, rains have washed them away. The authorities concerned should take up the repair work of these roads.

 No landline

I am a resident of Mylasandra behind Global Village Park. There are around 60 flats and a couple of buildings in the area but none of us have landline connection for last couple of years. We get only false promises from BSNL authorities who say that eventually we would get the service. We do not get mobile signals of any service provider inside the buildings. This makes it difficult for us to contact people during emergencies.

Road dividers removed

The road dividers which have been temporarily placed on various roads, for example, Shanthinagar flyover on KH Road, have been conveniently removed by motorcyclists for taking shortcuts. This is not only dangerous to them but also to others, especially at night. The traffic police are requested to fix the dividers again and fix reflectors on them so that the dividers are visible at night.

There are many flyovers which have trees growing on them like Shanthinagar flyover, Marathahalli flyover, Silk Board flyover and others. These plants weaken the structure and thereby the safety of motorists. These problems need immediate attention.

Colonel S Srinath,

Vacant plot turns into dumping yard

The vacant plot on 43rd Main, First Cross, Ideal Homes, Rajarajeshwari Nagar has turned into a dumping yard. Garbage is being dumped on this plot for the past six years. The stench emanating from the site is unbearable and during rains the plot turns mucky. It has become a shelter for pigs and stray dogs. Garbage from the neighbouring Marappa Layout is being dumped on this site. To make matters worse, the space is also being used as a toilet. Clearing up happens about once a week, that too with setting garbage heaps on fire. This results in a lot of smoke  entering the houses nearby.
The authorities concerned should take suitable action for maintaining cleanliness.

No water for many months

Water has not been supplied to Durgamba Road, Amarajyothi Layout and Thanisandra for past many months now. Authorities concerned should look into this and provide necessary solution.
