A member of a notorious gang has been arrested for his alleged involvement in an attempt to murder case registered with Nazafgarh police station.

Paramjeet, 30, was carrying a reward of Rs 20,000 on his head, police said on Tuesday.
The alleged attempt to kill Bijender was made in February, this year.

Paramjeet had allegedly driven gangster Vikas Langerpuria and another accomplice to a location where Bijender was playing cards with some friends.

Two shots had been fired at Bijender, but both had missed their aim.
Police later learnt that Langerpuria was involved in a property dispute with Bijender because of which an attempt on his life was made.

Accused of being a part of the plot, Paramjeet had been declared absconding soon after that incident.

Paramjeet had joined the gang after Langerpuria offered him protection against a criminal who made extortion calls to him.

He was arrested on Saturday after Delhi Police’s Special Cell learnt that he would be arriving in Bawana to meet a friend.
