Oscar for 'Unbroken' would be great: Angelina Jolie

Last Updated 27 November 2014, 11:29 IST

Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie says an Oscar for her upcoming film 'Unbroken' would mean a lot for her as she feels responsible to the movie.

'Unbroken' is the story of real-life hero Louis Zamperini, an American World War II soldier who spent 47 days drifting on a raft in the ocean before being captured as a POW by Japanese forces.

Jolie, 39, last won an Academy Award for her performance in 'Girl, Interrupted' 14 years back and now wishes to receive the honour for her direction, reported The Independent.

"I love directing and most of all I felt very responsible to this story and this man's life," Jolie said, adding that an Oscar would 'mean a great deal' to her.
