A CBI special court on Thursday granted bail to former minister G Janardhana Reddy and 13 others, including Vijayanagar MLA Anand Singh and Kampli MLA T H Suresh Babu in a case of alleged illegal export of iron ore from Belekeri port. Sources said that the accused will not be released from the prison since they have other cases pending.
The accused in one of the cases pertaining to illegal export of 1.37 lakh MT of iron ore Belekeri port had filed bail applications. The CBI had charge sheeted 14 people in the case. The CBI special court granted conditional bail to the accused on Rs 10 lakh bond and two sureties each.
