Kannada exam of Vijayanagar university put off

The Kannada exam of the third semester of the undergraduate courses of the Krishnadevaraya University, Vijayanagar, scheduled for Tuesday, was postponed following reports that the question paper had been leaked.

Activists of the Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishat (ABVP) held a protest, alleging that the question paper had been leaked.

Hundreds of ABVP members gathered in front of the Saraladevi Satishchandra Agarwal College in the city and demanded that an investigation should be ordered into the episode and that a re-exam should be conducted.

There were reports that some of the students had got the question papers before the exam.

Confusion prevailed in the exam rooms over the issue, before the university registrar directed that the exam be postponed.

However, the exam was conducted as scheduled in the taluk centres of the district.
