Last Updated 06 December 2014, 17:53 IST

Government Hospitals in the State will soon have 24 hour pharmacies announced Minister for Health and Family Welfare, U T Khader.

He spoke at the release of the manual on kidney care by Omega Rehabilitation Trust in the City on Saturday.

“In the next three months, all government hospitals will have pharmacies that will be open round the clock. Additional pharmacies will also be set up. With this medicines will be made available 24 hours,” he said.

“In as many as 30 districts and taluks, dialysis centres have been started. Doctors have been trained to man these clinics. Additional dialysis centres will be set up soon,” Khader said.

He also said it is challenging to start all the centres at once as there is a shortage of trained staff.
