TN, EU hold talks on biz

Tamil Nadu Government and European Union (EU) on Monday discussed about the vast potential for cooperation between both the regions in areas like Engineering and Agro-processing, Information Technology, Biotechnology, and Renewable Energy.

A delegation of ambassadors from the EU met the Chief Minister O Panneerselvam, who recalled that Tamil Nadu offers a number of competitive advantages for investors and highlighted that State's biggest asset is rich human resource endowment.

An official release said that the abundance of skilled human resource and harmonious and peaceful industrial relations make Tamil Nadu a preferred investment destination. Labour standards compliance levels and wage levels are generally higher in the State.

Government seeks to further enhance the skill level and productivity of State's work force.
