The Sri Rajarajeshwara Sahasrarjuna Maharaja Jayanthi Samithi celebrated Sri Sahasrarjuna Maharaja Jayanthi Mahotsava in the City on Sunday.

The devotees were seen carrying offerings for the deity. The procession was followed by various rituals.

He assured the committee that if they gave a written application, the government would certainly help.

‘Will ensure it is done’

“I will request the government to grant 10 acres of land near Kengeri for setting up a premises of your own. Since I am told that the construction of a building has been left incomplete due to lack of funds, I will ensure it is done with my own money,” Krishnappa said.

Praising the community for its social contribution, Krishnappa said, “The contribution of industrialist Hari L Khoday is remarkable. He has ensured that the Venugopala Swami temple which is submerged in the KRS backwaters is restored.”

Every year, Sri Rajarajeshwara Sahasrarjuna Maharaja Jayanthi Samithi honours achievers in various field including sports and education, according to D Gangadhar Sa, convenor of the committee. “The event is also a fundraiser for social work,” he added.
