Sydney siege: Bystanders spark outrage as they take selfies outside Lindt cafe

While the whole world is looking anxiously at the ongoing hostage scene in Sydney, some people on Monday incensed Internet users with their distasteful response to the crisis.

A few bystanders were uploading selifes taken in the thick of Sydney terror siege on Twitter and Instagram. People were posing in the backdrop of camera crews of media, who had gathered there to cover the story, and near the Lindt Cafe to show they were at the scene of the terror.

Some were seen flashing smiles and the V-for-Victory sign for the front-cameras of their phones, unmindful of terrifying developments that were taking place.

@MatthewKeysLive: Another #SydneySiege selfie. Guy just wants to promote his app it seems. -” What a complete tool.

People are taking selfies at the #sydneysiege, how disgusting! Since when has an act like this been a sign to take a selfie? Makes me sick.

maybe those #selfie idiots at #sydneysiege should be exchanged for those innocent hostages. Lets see if they still have touristy fun then.
