Pakistan hangs four more terrorists

Four more extremists on death row were executed on Sunday in Faisalabad district jail, Pakistan, according to TV reports.

The convicts, Akhlas Ahmed alias Roosi, Ghulam Sarwar, Zubair Ahmed and Rashid Tipu, who were hung today, were found guilty of carrying out an attack on former military ruler General (retd) Pervez Musharraf, according to a Geo News report.

30 more prisoners convicted in terrorism-related cases are on death row in the Faisalabad district jail, the report said.

Pakistan decided to lift the ban on death penalty for terror convicts, following a deadly suicide attack by Taliban militants on an army-run school in Peshawar.

On Friday, two terrorists, Aqil alias Doctor Usman and Arshad Mehmood, were executed for the first time in Pakistan since 2008.
