Just a day left before Delhiites wake up to celebrate Christmas in the city, leading markets, including Khan Market, are jostling with Christmas goodies. Shops to outside awning-stored stalls are decked up to cater buyers with new and different gifting and decorative products this year.

When Metrolife took a tour of these markets, Khan Market stood out with its festive-frenzy stuff. Count on the beautiful and cute reindeer, colourful balls to decorate Xmass trees, Santa toys and glittering stars are available in the market for a glorifying evening that await you.

The catch of the sellers this time is however environment-friendly items, including artificials trees, which can be easily disposed of.

“We have maximum variety of pine trees this time: regular ones, American, Canadian, needle and snow. We also have concept-based trees — which is actually tree in any colour you imagine — like white, purple, red and many more,” says Mukesh, one of the many sellers who decked up their stores here.

“These artificial trees are available in different sizes and different prices for our customers” he adds.

A lot of shops are also providing event services wherein a Xmass tree or any other big product, if not purchased, can be taken on a rent at reasonable rates for two to five days. Gift items for kids, animated goodies, moving musical Santas, snow deer and chocolate boxes are available here.

“This year, we have musical Santas singing different Christmas carols, dancing Santas and one which is climbing steps are some of the hot cakes among the kids,” says Rakesh Gupta, another face waiting for customers here.

Chinese balls which give a hand-painted look are also popular among the people here. Snow-adorned pine trees which give a genuine look, musical caps with Christmas wishes, mugs and other showpieces are also available in the market. This year, colour theme-based decorative items are also a eye-catcher in the market.
