Criminals take oath at parade

The South Division police carried out a parade of over 500 Modus Operandi Bureau(MOB)  criminals at the CAR Grounds in Adugodi on Tuesday.

A senior police officer said, “Various types of criminals in the South division met the police officers of all 18 police stations in the jurisdiction. It was surprising to see the criminals taking oath that they would not commit crimes in the future and that they would co-operate and inform the police when they get any information about illegal activities.”

Lokesh Kumar, DCP (South) said: “The main purpose of the parade was to make the police officials familiar with the MOB criminals in the division. The police also got to know what each criminal was doing for his livelihood.”

The officer added, “Also anyone giving information or clues to the police which would help in solving the crimes or stopping the crime would be rewarded.”
