Batting first, MES College CC were all out for a decent total of 238 in 37 overs courtesy Arjun’s century.
Government Arts College’s Jayakumar bowled very economically to finish with figures of four for 37 while Mohan Kumar claimed two wickets for 32.
Chasing the target, Jaikumar’s half century (66) and cameos from Mahesh (30) and Durgaprasad (28) kept Government Arts College in the hunt but MES College bowlers managed to bowl out their opponents for 233 and prevailed in a close encounter.
Arjun starred with the bowl too, picking four for 42 to rein in the Government Arts College batsmen.
