Last Updated 24 December 2014, 21:11 IST

Schools across City organised several activities on the eve of Christmas.  At Gopalan International School, a day long art exhibition-cum-carnival was organised to celebrate the joy of giving.

At Greenwood International School, a concert for physically challenged and underprivileged was held.

Malls in City, wore a festive look with Orion and Mantri Mall, decked up in lights and fancy festoons to attract customers.

A Santa Claus sporting white long beard was commissioned from UK to interact with children, while a 30 ft Christmas Tree was in place at Orion Mall.
Churches like St Basilica were decorated in all grandeur.

And Angie D’Souza, being part of a church’s carol choir, rushed back home, straight from her work at a retail store, as she did not want to miss the opportunity that comes once in a year.

Churches across the City welcomed the Baby Jesus with prayers and songs and the chiming of bells.

Hundreds of devotees thronged the churches, while carol singers went from house to house singing Jesus’ praises.
